Bang Crunch

Recently chewed my way through Neil Smith's book of short fiction entitled "Bang Crunch", which I highly recommend. Smith is based in Montreal and this first collection delivers everything from a love story between a severed foot and a pair of leather gloves to a tale of a recently widowed woman who talks to her husband's ashes, which are entombed in a hollowed-out curling stone. I first got wind of him after reading "Scrapbook" in one of the Journey Prize Story collections. It is a quick, easy and rewarding read from a new talent in Canadian Fiction.

Now... get back to work.
