IN TRANSLATION at CIFF & EIFF

In Translation, enriquePoe Moving Pictures latest film by Director Corey Lee, will premiere on the big screen at the 2008 editions of both the Calgary and Edmonton International Film Festivals. The short film is the final chapter in Corey Lee's extremely successful Kilter Trilogy.
The film will premiere in Calgary on Sunday September 21 at 6:30pm at the Uptown Stage & Screen as part of the Best of Alberta screening.
Next, In Translation will screen in Edmonton on Monday September 29 at 12 noon at Empire City Centre Cinemas as part of the Sobey's Lunchbox Shorts Program.
Produced by Lee and Susan Bristow, the script was co-written by Lee and author John Gould and adapted from the story of the same name by Gould, from his 2003 Giller Prize short-listed kilter: 55 fictions. The film features the wonderful talents of Vincent Gale ("Everest") and Montreal based, Simone Elise-Girard ("3 Needles") as a couple who struggles to communicate their mutual desire for intimacy.
In Translation features many of the gifted Albertans who collaborated on the earlier chapters, The Perfection of the Moment and What You're Ready For. Lee credits much of the trilogy's success to the talents of cinematographer Robin Loewen, sound mixer George Tarrant, picture editor Ken Filewych, composer Alec Harrison and sound designer John Iaquinta. The films have won a variety of awards, including the 2006 and 2008 Alberta Film & TV Awards for best short film.
In Translation will continue it's festival run this winter before being broadcast nationally on Bravo! in 2009. What You're Ready For is currently touring as part of Prairie Tales 10, while The Perfection of the Moment is screening in the inaugural Book Shorts presented Moving Stories touring film festival.
