Whoa. Where the hell have I been?
That's way too grand a question for the limited time I currently have available (... oh the excuses).
Things are great - just so you know. Lots of projects on the go and even more 'edward' news on the horizon, but really I'm here to pass on a few tidbits about some of the pretty amazing people that were involved with 'DE' and what they are up to:
Our very own Cinematographer Robin Loewen
Joely Collins updated picture & bio on IMDB
last chance to see 'DE' on Movie Central this month. Here's the sched:
Apr 2 9:30 am MT Movie Central Apr 2 5:00 pm MT Shadow Lane Apr 8 2:15 pm MT Shadow Lane Apr 11 6:00 am MT Shadow Lane Apr 11 5:30 pm MT Shadow Lane Apr 20 6:30 am MT Movie Central Apr 20 9:00 am MT Shadow Lane Apr 20 4:15 pm MT Movie Central Apr 26 10:00 am MT Movie Central Final Showing Apr 26 9:00 pm MT Shadow Lane Apr 27 4:10 am MT Shadow Lane Final Showing
And so, amongst all the other stuff, I'm slowly working away at my Production Company website - which, with any luck will be up in a matter of months, and have info on what the hell I've been doing.
cheers!

here's an idea. just a little something for all you filmmakers with your eyes firmly locked on feature film glory.
1) 5 day weeks. - people like time away from work. No matter how much 'fun' the work is, or how many fat cheques they are putting into the bank, the cast, the crew, everybody wants and needs time off.
2) 10 to 11 hour shooting days. - why do we work 12 hour days, on average, on movies in North America? Really, most days are longer. Hey, then add the travel time back and forth to set each day. I'd bet I'm doing 80+ hours a week right now. take it from moi... not all that much fun. Like to see you try and get a French crew to work an 80+ hour week. how do you say "Suck my ass" in french?
3) Longer schedules. - shorter days makes for happier and far less exhausted filmmakers. So add a week or two to your schedule. Choose smarter locations. Do some serious planning in prep. Have a great script that will attract people who want to make the movie you are making. When the first reason to do a movie isn't because of the money, it makes for a whole different environment.
But then, shit. We all gotta eat, right? Ooh yeah. I got all the answers...
-- When I'm done working for 'the man', I'll let you all in on what's cookin'. till then, go drink your face off...
