Interviews, etc.

Fine. I'll admit that it's been a busy autumn. I am still seriously pleased that both new and older films continue to screen all over the place. For a filmmaker that really is the most wonderful thing -- to have your films shown -- even better when it is to an enthusiastic audience. In Translation, the final film in the Kilter Trilogy, recently premiered at the 2008 Calgary International Film Festival, quickly followed by screenings at the 2008 Edmonton International Film Festival and the inaugural Central Alberta Film Experience in Red Deer, Alberta. CIFF publicist Tracy Stewart and the fine folks at CIFF were kind enough to invite me to have a chat with the charming and urbane Louis B. Hobson.

Also, The Perfection of the Moment, is still finding it's way onto screens across our great land. The film is included in the Moving Stories Film Festival, presented by Judith Keenan's BookShorts, programmed by Paul Quarrington and advised by Anne Collins, Robert Lantos, Nino Ricci, Sarah Polley and Gary Thomas. Bruce Weir's SWERVE article is available here, while Judith appeared on CJSW, QR77 and in the October 16th issue of FFWD Weekly. Listen to her featured on CJSW Film Clips here. Cheers.
