MING Short FIlm Festival
The fine folk at the 2007 edition of the MING Short Film Festival called recently to inform me of the inclusion of a little film known as "The Perfection of the Moment" in this year's program.
The fest is put on each year by the MING bar on the now infamous 17th Ave SW in Calgary, Alberta. Screenings of three or more short films will run each night from August 19th (tonight!) to 22nd and again from August 26th to 29th. From those showcases there will be 16 shorts films which move on to a second round, followed by a third round and an awards gala. I know several Calgary based filmmakers who have films screening, so it should be decent and entertaining program - and they encourage the audience to drink - never a bad thing.
"Perfection" screens this Wednesday, August 22nd, as the first of three shorts that night. All screenings begin at 7:30 pm sharp. Click the pic at the top for the MING site and the full line up for the festival.
