IN TRANSLATION wins at EIFF





Corey Lee's 3rd and final film in his Kilter Trilogy "In Translation", picked up the award for Best Alberta Short Film at the 2008 Edmonton International Film Festival.

The film, adapted from the 2003 Giller Prize nominated collection Kilter: 55 Fictions, by John Gould, shared the award with "Midnight Matinee", directed by J. Scott Portingale.

Many thanks go out to the amazing cast and crew of the film, to Frame 30 Productions and Kerrie Long, Michael Hamm and everyone at the Edmonton International Film Festival, and congrats also to filmmaker J. Scott Portingale.

Moving Stories & Perfection at WORDFEST










The Perfection of the Moment will be playing as part of the Moving Stories touring Film Fest Gala, a showcase of short films adapted from the written word to film, which goes this Wednesday, October 15 2008, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Vertigo Theatre in downtown Calgary. The inaugural program is being presented as part of Wordfest 2008 and attended by film curators and advisors Anne Collins, Paul Quarrington, Nino Ricci, BookShorts founder Judith Keenan and Perfection director Corey Lee.
