Prairie Tales 11

The award winning short film In Translation, written by Corey Lee and John Gould, directed by Corey Lee, and adapted from the story by John Gould, has been included in this year's Prairie Tales, the annual touring collection of short film and video works by Alberta filmmakers and media artists, now in it's 11th year. The final film in Lee's Kilter Trilogy has screened at several festivals and won the award for Best Alberta Short Film at the 2008 Edmonton International Film Festival.

This year's 100 min Prairie Tales program, presented by Metro Cinema, will begin it's tour at the 2009 Alberta Media Arts Alliance Society (AMAAS) Conference, the annual gathering of the provincial media arts community. It's purpose to connect, celebrate, and explore contemporary media art practice in Alberta, through screenings, workshops and dialogue. This year's Edmonton conference is the 10th AMAAS gathering and the first in the Province's capital city.

Check back for more Prairie Tales 11 screenings.

Cheers.
