"Reality Testing" & "In Translation" at the 2009 MING Short Film Fest

The 5th annual MING short film festival is about to ramp up and I'm pleased to report that ePmp has two films featured in the program. The final kilter film, "In Translation" will screen on Tuesday August 25th with two other short films. The program begins at 7 pm.

Meanwhile, "Reality Testing", a film by Corey Lee and Sandi Somers, will play the following Tuesday, September 1st, also at 7 pm at MING, located at 520 - 17 Avenue SW, Calgary.

The festival runs Sunday to Wednesday nights for two weeks starting August 23rd. The top films from each night (as determined by the public vote) will move on the Judges Round, who will narrow down a Top Ten to be shown at the Awards Gala on Saturday September 12, 2009. SO, make sure you come on down to check out some cool local works, have a couple drinks and vote!

Back in 2007, the first film in the kilter trilogy, "The Perfection of the Moment", won the MING short film festival Grand Prize. It will be screened as part of a past winners showcase on Wednesday September 2nd.

Reality Testing

If you click here, you'll see a selection of set photos from a short film collaboration by Corey Lee and Sandi Somers.

"Reality Testing" was made for the 4th annual Super8 Challenge at the behest of our good friend, James Reckseidler. The film was first screened in late March in Calgary and in Los Angeles, CA at the Echo Park Film Co-op in June.

enriquePoe is happy to report that RT will play, alongside 15 other films, this Sunday, August 16th as part of the CSIF's 30th Anniversary Members screening at 4:30 pm at the Plaza Theatre in Kensington, 1133 Kensington Road NW. Tickets are available at the door. Likely around $10 for adults.
